Land Reuse in Concord

Municipal leaders in Concord are positioning their community for long-term stability and growth.

After two years of negotiations, the City of Concord Local Reuse Authority secured a financial agreement with the U.S. Navy for the purchase and payment terms of approximately 2,422 acres to be redeveloped under an Economic Development Conveyance. With this agreement now finalized, the Local Reuse Authority can now begin drafting specific plans for this area’s development.

Clean Energy Breakthroughs & Industrial Growth in East Contra Costa

East Contra Costa continues to be a shining example of clean tech innovation and large-scale industrial expansion in the region.

In a historic milestone for California’s zero-carbon goals, Pittsburg-based K2 Pure Solutions broke ground on the state's first commercial green hydrogen production facility. In partnership with PACC Services, K2 Pure Solutions is building a viable hydrogen market, securing deals with Hyster-Yale and ZeroUp Energy.

This spring, Oakley City Council approved the massive 164-acre Bridgehead Industrial Project, repurposing 3.1 million square feet of light-industrial and warehousing space initially planned for data centers. Oakley is also seeking applicants for a Planning Commission vacancy through Feb. 2027.

Tech Expansion and Port Investments in West Contra Costa

OpenAI is coming to Richmond. The artificial intelligence tech giant plans to open an office on Richmond’s waterfront and bring an estimated 700 jobs to the area.
