Port of Richmond wins $11M federal grant for major dock repairs

The Port of Richmond has received an $11.2 million federal grant to support major repairs and infrastructure improvements at Berth 7 of the Point Potrero Marine Terminal. The project will rehabilitate the wharf, improve its load-bearing capacity, restore the deck and surface, and strengthen the facility against seismic and climate-related risks. The $14 million project is expected to help restore the berth’s operational capacity and allow it to safely handle heavier and more diverse cargo.
